About SilenceRemover
SilenceRemover is a focused iOS app with one job: automatically detect and remove silence from your audio and video, so your recordings are tighter and faster to edit — without uploading anything.
Why we built it
Editing spoken-word content is repetitive work, and most of it is cutting dead air — the pauses, breaths, and hesitations between words. Existing tools either require a desktop editor or upload your files to a server. We wanted something that does this one task well, runs on the phone you already filmed with, and never touches a cloud server.
The result is SilenceRemover: it scans the waveform, finds every silent gap based on your settings, and removes it in a single pass — for both audio and video, keeping picture and sound in sync.
Our approach
On-device by default
All silence detection and trimming runs locally using Apple's audio and video frameworks. Your files never leave your phone.
No accounts
No sign-in, no email, no profile. Open the app and start editing.
No data collection
We don't collect, sell, or share your media or personal data. See our privacy policy.
Quality preserved
Export keeps the original quality — silence removal is a cut-and-join, not a re-encode.
